Just chucking out a tool out there that I made recently: GitRewrite - https://github.com/MrLemur/gitrewrite. It goes through the commit history of a Git repo, checks for messages under a certain length, and then uses Ollama to rewrite them to something more useful based on the file diffs.
I made it after realising the GitOps repo for my K8S cluster had over 1500 commits just saying stuff like "fixed" or "updated". After running this tool, I now stick to semantic commits exclusively.
I've switched to Brave from Firefox in the last few months across all my devices, using Brave Search as the default.
I've gotten used to going to Google.com by default due to the lack of useful results from Brave.
I've now setup up SearX-NG and by god is it a breathe of fresh air. Now I need to stop automatically opening google when I am searching...
The onto thing I really miss from Reddit is finding out about new software to host at home. Let's find a Lemmy community for that!
I wasn’t happy with using a subdomain for my instance, so I went on the hunt for a nice short domain just for this.
Behold, xu.rs!
Ignoring the fact that the .rs domain is loved by Rust developers, apparently “xur” can mean donkey in the Wakhi language.
